Levi: First time for everything: T-ball

Levi:
I'm on a new adventure.  I've never been an athletic kiddo.  I mainly get my exercise from climbing trees and running around with my friends.  I LOVE climbing trees.
Dad signed himself and me up for T-ball.  He's assistant coaching and I'm playing.
After a couple weeks of practicing with the team and with dad at home, I'm starting to get the hang of it.  slowing but surely.
This past Monday we had our first game.  It was fun.  I actually scored, once.   Plus I got a Popsicle after the game.  Score!!

We had to borrow our neighbor's bat, since the only one we had was a big heavy adult bat.  That's why it's pink.  But i don't care.

 A swing and a miss.

More practice.  I like practicing with dad because I don't use the T. I just try to hit what he throws.

 Working on my stance.

I made contact with this one.

 Another hit!!
 Perfect!!
 I'm ready!!!
 here it comes!!!
 oops.
 now time to practice catching.
 How's my form, Dad?
 I need a break.
Ok, so i open it up like this?
 Starting to get bored.
 oh, no, here it comes.

 break time again.

now, its time for my game.
 waiting my turn.
 Here I go.

Im running to base, but I see the guy with the ball coming toward me...  yikes.
There he is.. see his mitt?   he's tagged me out on this play.
Heading back to the dug out.
Mom didn't get pics on my score.  she was too busy cheering me on.  yay team!!  Good Game.

Until next time,
Love,
Levi!!

Lucas: My 4th Grade Field Trip to Lincoln.

Lucas:

Today was my class's field trip to Lincoln.  I was A LOT of fun. I'm so glad I got to go.
I will let the Pictures do the story telling.

So, on the way there it was raining. At times so hard it was hard for mom to keep up with the bus we were trying to follow.
1st stop was to Morrill Hall.  This Museum was so cool.
It was cool to have come of my friends take turns pushing me around.
Mom just liked this window exhibit.  she thought it was pretty.  I'm just rolling my eyes... ;)
However, I enjoyed these red balls.  How do they keep them stacked???
This room was filled with very cool animal pictures.
That's One BIG cat.
Dino
Onyx.  Mom loves purple.
Birds.
Friends helping me discover exhibits through touch.
That's one BIG tree trunk behind us.
I didn't quite understand why my friends wouldn't pick me up.
Pic with some of the girls.  I look like i want to attach my friend... I just wanted snuggles.

Next Stop.  Huskers Stadium.

This is there indoor training field.
So, the football players have their very own weight room that no one else can use.
This is their good luck charm.  the touch this horseshoes before every game.  they've had the same horseshoe for over 60 years. All my friends tried to touch it on the way out.
Getting ready to hit the field.
50 yard line!!
NEBRASKA!!
Thanks Mr. Westland, for making my trip on the field so fun.  BEST PRINCIPLE EVER!!
Group shots

Chilling in this cool red chair before we leave.
We got to stop and play at a park before our next stop.
It was cool they had a swing for me.  but no one could get it latched.  I just sat back and got a good chuckle from it.
Last stop... Capital Building.
I laid on the floor so my friends decided to join me.
Reaching for my friends hand in the supreme court room.
Trying to snuggle during group pictures
Group Pic in front of the capital building.

Well after this fun filled day. I'm Beat.  I'm going to bed.
But until next time.

Lucas
